Go4IT Scheme: First Round

Lottery scheme for public access IT to help with online benefit claims

Applications are now open for organisations to receive IT hardware to support for members of the public with claiming benefits online, such as claiming Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support online. The type of provision that can be provided includes computers that can be used at a premises; laptops and tablets; and mobile WiFi. This scheme is about providing help to those who most need it. It should allow organisations to get the IT provision needed and the right training to help those members of the public who will have to make this transition to claiming benefits online and will need help doing it.

This scheme is primarily aimed at small, local, voluntary organisations that provide free information, support or advice to the public in North Somerset. More specifically, those organisations that do (or could) help assist service users to claim benefits online.

IT provision between the values of £50 and up to a maximum of £2,500 can be provided.

The deadline for applications is Friday 16th January 2015.
