    A locally-based forum for members of the LGBT community within North Somerset. Provides a platform for voices to be heard through activities such as monthly drop in sessions,social activities and the use of social media.

    A community hub, where people of all ages can meet to socialise (with tea, coffee and cake) and access a range of services and support – Somerset Savings & Loans (Credit Union) run drop-ins.   • Somewhere to Go

    A support centre set up specially to help rough sleepers and disadvantaged, vulnerable adults. Services include breakfast and lunch, tea and coffee, showers, clothing store. Outreach by Citizens Advice and other services. Open Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

  • Weston-super-Mare Foodbank

    Provides a minimum of 3 days emergency food and support to local people in crisis. Care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, CAB and police identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher. Foodbank clients bring their voucher to a foodbank centre where it can be redeemed for three days emergency food. Volunteers meet clients over a cup of tea or free hot meal and are able to signpost people to agencies able to solve the longer-term problem.

  • Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANS)

    VANS works to ensure communities can be self-sustaining. They offer help to set up or develop a community or voluntary group in or for the benefit of North Somerset resident. They also run the North Somerset Volunteer Centre, which helps people to find out about a variety of volunteering opportunities in their area and provides a brokerage service to help groups and organisations to recruit volunteers.
